Biography

Junfeng received his B.S. degree in chemistry from Nanjing University in 2015, where he worked on the luminescence and supramolecular packing of Ir(III) complexes and organic fluorophores with Prof. Deng-Ke Cao. He joined the Ph.D program in materials chemistry at UIUC under the guidance of Prof. Steven C. Zimmerman. His Ph.D research focused on the development of single-chain nanoparticles (SCNPs) as catalysts to perform highly efficient copper mediated alkyne-azide cycloaddition reactions. Junfeng received his Ph.D degree in April 2020 with Walter G. Klemperer Dissertation Award. He joined the Hawker group in August 2020 as a postdoctoral researcher.

Research

Junfeng’s research focuses on building discrete polymeric materials by using the automatic chromatography system.
