Thomas Gonzalez

Undergraduate Researcher

Thomas was born in San Diego, California and is a senior majoring in Chemistry in the College of Creative Studies. He began working in the Hawker group in November of 2012 through the internship program California Alliance for Minority Participation (CAMP). He enjoys spending time with friends, cooking, and reading in his spare time.


His research investigates the mechanisms and influence of mechanical forces on cell behavior in vivo. Primary focus is on the mechanical forces generated during embryonic development which are known to play an essential role in the formation of tissues and organs.
