Seung Soo Oh
Seung Soo Oh graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Seoul National University, South Korea. During his M.S. studies under the guidance of Prof. Euijoon Yoon at the same university, he worked on the synthesis of nanowires based on III-nitride semiconductors. He received his Ph.D. degree in Materials from University of California, Santa Barbara in Prof. H. Tom Soh’s group in 2012, and his doctoral research focused on the development of nucleic acid materials with complex functionalities. He is continuing his research career as a postdoc under the guidance of Prof. Craig J. Hawker and Prof. H. Tom Soh, focusing on the synthesis of nucleic acid/polymer hybrid materials for diagnostic and therapeutic applications. He has received a number of awards including the Graduate Student Award from Materials Research Society.
