Saemi Oh

Graduate Student
Bio:

Saemi attended California State University, Northridge and graduated with honors, earning a B.S. in Chemistry in December 2012. During her time there she worked with Professor Thomas Minehan focusing on the preparation of biologically-active natural products and the development of environmentally-friendly reactions for organic synthesis. She joined Professor Craig Hawker's group for a summer internship in 2011, and studied the effect of lithium salt in binary mixtures of poly(glycidyl ether) for battery application. Saemi has now returned to UCSB to begin her doctoral studies under the co-supervision of professor Craig Hawker and professor Javier Read de Alaniz in chemistry.

Research:

Saemi is currently developing polymers with photoswitchable properties.
