Ryosuke graduated from Hokkaido University (Sapporo, Japan) in 2002. He pursued his research at Hokkaido University under the direction of Prof. Toyoji Kakuchi and received his PhD in March 2006. His doctoral thesis is focused on the synthesis and characterization of novel helical polymers bearing crown ether. He continued to work with Prof. Kakuchi as Postdoctoral Fellow of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). In April 2007, he began work with Prof. Craig Hawker as a post-doctoral researcher.
Ryosukes current research is focused on developing polymeric materials for diagnosis and therapeutic application. The preparation of polymeric architectures is now in progress.
