Maxwell earned his B.S. in Chemistry (summa cum laude) from the Colorado School of Mines in 2009 where he conducted research under the supervision of Professor Daniel M. Knauss. He is currently a DOE Office of Science and UC Regents Fellow pursuing his Ph.D. at the University of California, Santa Barbara under the direction of Professor Craig Hawker. Since moving to UCSB in 2009, Max has led diverse research projects in a variety of areas including the rapid synthesis of dendrimers and self-assembly of functional, degradable block copolymers. He is currently interested in the design and synthesis of new semiconducting materials for organic electronics applications.
