Jing Ren

Post Doc
Bio:

Jing received his Ph.D in chemical and biomolecular engineering from the University of Melbourne under the supervision of Prof. Greg Qiao in March 2014. His Ph.D thesis focused on developing novel polymeric architectures through the application of controlled/living polymerizations, click chemistries, and supramolecular interactions. During his Ph.D study, he visited Kamigaito Laboratory at Nagoya University, Japan, where he investigated the synthesis of stereospecific cyclic poly(methylacrylate)s under the mentorship of Prof. Masami Kamigaito. He also completed a four-month internship program at IBM Almaden Research Center, working on developing star nanogel-based materials for anti-microbial applications. After a brief stay as a postdoctoral researcher at the Polymer Science Group of the University of Melbourne, Jing joined the Hawker Group in September 2015 as a VESKI Postdoctoral Research Fellow.
