Cynthia graduated from UCLA in Spring 2011 and earned her B.S. in Bioengineering. As an undergraduate, she characterized photodegradable hydrogels and linkers, under the guidance of Professor Andrea Kasko. Cynthia began her doctoral study and research at UCSB in the Materials Department with Professor Craig Hawker in Fall 2011.
Cynthia is interested in the development of multi-functional nanomaterials for controlled delivery systems. She will explore the use of lithography to produce polymeric nanoparticle-based thin films for therapeutics.
