Christian Pester

Bio: 

After graduating with a German Diploma in polymer- and colloid chemistry from the University of Bayreuth in 2009, Christian received his Doctorate with distinction (summa cum laude) from RWTH Aachen University in Germany (2013), where he was awarded the Borcher’s Medal in recognition of his thesis on block copolymers in electric fields. In 2014 he moved to the United States to work with Edward J. Kramer and now Craig J. Hawker as an Alexander von Humboldt Foundation’s Feodor Lynen Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Christian is currently interested in elucidating and enhancing the properties of well-defined grafted polymer brush architectures
